Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Southgate Beaumont Care Community

Burns Night Celebrations !

Burns night was a great success at Southgate Beaumont. Residents were treated to a mouthwatering dish of traditional Hagis, meat and tatties before washing it all down with a traditional glass of whisky!!

After lunch everyone took part in reading the famous poems of Robert Burns and then they tested their knowledge with a quiz about haggis!!

It was wonderful to learn of different family connections to Scotland.

Here is a picture of Jean who is holding her Fathers tartan. Its from the Gordon Highlanders regiment which he wore in the war.

Squirrel appreciation day !

Today is Squirrel appreciation day and the residents here at Southgate Beaumont had a lovely time looking at the beautiful artwork of squirrels sent in by St Andrews school in Southgate.

There were so many amazing pictures that in the end we couldn’t decide on a winner. Instead we will be sending treats to all who contributed.

Thank you we adore them !

Getting creative !

Spring is in the air and we are so happy to see the first blossom appear on the trees. Residents have been busy getting creative making beautiful greetings cards. What a talented bunch we are.
