Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Zoe Grindley
Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.
I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.
Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.
My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs
I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Life at Southgate Beaumont Care Community
Art Therapy
Residents at Southgate enjoyed a lovely afternoon of Art therapy this week and it was amazing to see everyone being so creative and enjoying time together.
With the guidance from a lovely art therapist we all sat together, learning how to use a multitude of materials and watercolours.
We had some beautiful pictures and a great understanding by the end of the session.
All materials and the lesson provided have been donated by an amazing company called Colart. They will be coming along on a regular basis to keep teaching us the benefits of Art therapy and residents are very much looking forward to their next lesson next week.

Southgate Beaumont celebrated Marjorie's milestone birthday in style with a lovely afternoon tea and a glass or 3 of fizz.
Marjorie loves a party and this is the 3rd Milestone birthday she has celebrated with the residents and team at Southgate Beaumont.
Happy Birthday Marjorie, we hope you had a fantastic day. We think you're amazing!

Vintage table top and car boot sale at Southgate Beaumont.
On Sunday Southgate Beaumont held its first vintage table top and car boot sale in their beautiful garden's. It was a chilly start to the day however the local community, residents and their loved ones and staff members came along to browse the pre loved items. There were lots of treasures to be had as well as a hot cuppa and some delicious home baked cake.

The Easter Bake off at Southgate Beaumont!
Residents at Southgate Beaumont donned their oven gloves and entered the "Barchester's Easter Bake off" to compete with other Barchester Homes across the country. With the assistance of head Chef Daniel and Activity Coordinator Zoe, they baked a beautiful sponge cake and crafted it into a top hat full of hand made Beaumont Bunnies and daffodils

International Women's Day
We had a lovely time here at Southgate Beaumont celebrating all woman for International woman's day. From the nurses, care staff residents and family members we wanted everyone to feel appreciated and special. Residents were treated to an inspirational talk from Rabeya Imran who was awarded the WOMAN IN FINANCE AWARD 2022.
We then had some delicious homemade cakes and cookies prepared by our chef Dan.
A Visit from Tottenham Hotspurs Foundation
We had a fantastic visit from the Tottenham Hotspurs foundation recently, bringing a wonderful talk on the history of woman's football.
We had a great open discussion and learned that the first football game actually played dated back to the 1800s!
Accompanied by wonderful photos of the first Woman's football team it was such an interesting afternoon.
