Activities at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Shelburne Lodge Care Home
Shelburne Lodge Welcomes Unusual Guests
Shelburne Lodge actioned the wishes of their residents by purchasing two budgies to keep them occupied during the autumn. After much deliberation and many fantastic suggestions it was decided at a special naming ceremony that one of our residents picked, the names Jack and Vera, out of a hat.
The names chosen relate to the well-known TV programme, Coronation Street, that has been very familiar to our residents over many years.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Residents and staff enjoyed some delicious homemade cakes made by staff members and our Head Chef. We had a successful Macmillan Coffee Morning and raised £113.
Virtual Dog Show
Staff and residents at Shelburne Lodge in High Wycombe enjoyed a virtual dog competition. The best dog was chosen by residents and staff and first prize was awarded to Daisy, owned by one of our resident's sons.
Book Lovers Day
Shelburne Lodge had a treat in store for their resident bookworms this Book Lovers Day by making and reading and discussing Vera Lynn’s autobiography in our lovely garden.
French Day
The chef at Shelburne Lodge took the opportunity to prepare a French-themed buffet, which included freshly baked baguettes, a selection of French cheeses, wine tasting and choice of patisseries for the residents and staff to enjoy.
Bon Appétit
Residents enjoyed a French-themed afternoon in our garden. Sampling a variety of cheese and biscuits and French patisseries.
