Activities at Paternoster House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Ashley
Hello, name is Ashley and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Paternoster House.
My aim is to ensure every resident is as happy and active as possible. We host a wide variety of activities and live entertainment including singers and bands, animal and music therapies, art sessions, gardening and outings to the local community.
I love getting to know new residents and their families and helping them to settle into life at Paternoster House.

Life at Paternoster House Care Home
Sunshine Nursery Visit
On Tuesday 27th March, Paternoster House received a fun-filled visit from the children at Sunshine Nursery. They took part in various Easter activities, including bonnet decorating and an egg hunt. Residents enjoyed singing along to nursery rhymes with the children as they did a mini performance. It was a lovely morning and we look forward to seeing them again soon.
Tai Chi Session
On Thursday 22nd March, residents enjoyed participating in a tai chi session. Tai chi originates from China and has spread worldwide and made its way into Paternoster House. The session was a success and we look forward another visit very soon.
Valentine's Day
Residents enjoyed a dining experience with a Valentine’s theme, and everyone received a treat to mark the occasion.
Sing Sing Sing
On Tuesday 25th May, residents had a fun afternoon interacting with 'Sing Sing Sing,’ the community choir who kindly visited Paternoster House to perform. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part - residents had a lovely time.
International Donkey Week
Residents enjoyed a trip to the Ada Cole Donkey Sanctuary in aid of International Donkey Week. The weather was so good and we loved eating our lunch in the picnic area.
Valentine's Day
Residents at Paternoster made some homemade Valentine's Cards to celebrate the love.
