Activities at Paternoster House Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Ashley

Activities Coordinator

Hello, name is Ashley and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Paternoster House.

My aim is to ensure every resident is as happy and active as possible. We host a wide variety of activities and live entertainment including singers and bands, animal and music therapies, art sessions, gardening and outings to the local community.

I love getting to know new residents and their families and helping them to settle into life at Paternoster House.

Life at Paternoster House Care Home

World Alzheimer's Day

Today residents and staff created a lovely display in their home in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Day which is held on Monday 21st September 2020.

Board Games

The rain doesn’t stop the fun! Residents have enjoyed a day of board games and puzzles across the home. Our active mind puzzles have also engaged residents in reminiscing about the good old days and past experiences.

Residents Engage in Digital Activities

Technology time allows residents to learn and engage in different types of apps. The tablets are also used as a sensory tool to deliver person centred activity.

Judy's Donation

Judy has been supporting paternoster House tremendously. She has been consistent in her weekly donations to the staff. We received cakes from her and it went down very well! All staff appreciate her support during this time and we want to say a big thank you to her.

Families Reunited!

We are delighted to say that we are now offering socially distanced visits for relatives of our residents within our garden space.  To protect our residents we have had to carefully arrange the visits with social distancing and thorough cleaning between each visit.  If you are a relative, please get in touch with our team to arrange your visit.
