Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Life at Newton House Care Home
The Game of Games
Residents had a good ol' fashioned game of dominoes whilst enjoying a cup of tea.
Church Service
We hold a small church service on the first Tuesday of the month with the ladies from St Wulfram's Church. If the residents are unable to attend the church service, the ladies kindly go into bedrooms and perform their own private service with confirmation.
Horsin' Around
We had a joyful afternoon in the sunshine learning about horse care and stroking the majestic creatures. Using massage gloves, we massaged and groomed them too. We enjoyed tea and homemade cake afterwards with the volunteers and staff members.
Garden Centre Visit
We had a bloomin' good time look a the flowers, feeding the fish and drinking lots of tea at our local garden centre.
Wyndham Park
Out & About
We have enjoyed several outings recently; residents were delighted to go to the park, visit the Little Jacks Farm and have a tipple in the Woodland Waters.
We thought it would be a great idea to meet up with our sister home, Lancaster Grange, at the farm for a picnic. Residents absolutely loved this idea, so we will be meeting up on a regular basis for outings and coffee mornings.
