Activities at Mulberry Court Care Home

The team at Mulberry Court works hard to support and encourage residents to participate in both group and individual activities, based around their preferences and lifestyle choices. We take time to get to know each person, sitting with them and listening to them speak about their lives, interests, and aspirations. We have access to our own minibus so outings to nearby places of interest are available; for example local museums, art galleries, garden centres, and public houses. We also host themed evenings, such as 'Quiz and Meal-in-a-Basket', 'The Races (Greyhounds, Horses)', and 'Takeaway and Movie Night' that we also encourage relatives to come to. We believe lifestyle choices and activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, and it is essential that we help residents to have fulfilling and enjoyable lives.

National Cupcake Week

Joan and Muriel enjoyed decorating some cupcakes in preparation for National Cupcake Week, but enjoyed eating them even more.

Life at Mulberry

Everyone's been keeping busy here at Mulberry; resident, Hannah, has been enjoying doing some work in ger garden, Pat & Nicole have been enjoying the sunshine and Margaret has been decorating pizzas.

Summer Fête

We hosted our Summer Fete on July 15th and were joined by Joe's Owl Encounters and the Yorkshire Stompers jazz band.

Open Day

Chris Gilly, our entertainer for Care Home Open Day, was joined by all residents, staff and visitors. Everyone enjoyed a display of animals, brought to the home by The Party Animals for the day.

Smoothie Tasting Afternoon

We had a smoothie tasting afternoon that was prepared by Colin, our Catering Manager. When we assisted the residents town to our café bar, they all commented on how lovely it looked.
