Activities at Mulberry Court Care Home
The team at Mulberry Court works hard to support and encourage residents to participate in both group and individual activities, based around their preferences and lifestyle choices. We take time to get to know each person, sitting with them and listening to them speak about their lives, interests, and aspirations. We have access to our own minibus so outings to nearby places of interest are available; for example local museums, art galleries, garden centres, and public houses. We also host themed evenings, such as 'Quiz and Meal-in-a-Basket', 'The Races (Greyhounds, Horses)', and 'Takeaway and Movie Night' that we also encourage relatives to come to. We believe lifestyle choices and activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, and it is essential that we help residents to have fulfilling and enjoyable lives.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Mulberry Court Care Home
Care Home Open Day at Mulberry Court
To celebrate National Care Home Open Day, we had some stalls, out door games, a fire engine, police dogs - and the main event was a visit from the party animals, which were a great success. To top this all off we enjoyed some singing from entertainer, Hannah Heart.
Queen's Birthday Cakes
In honour of Her Majesty's 90th birthday, we baked some cakes. All residents, staff and family members who attended enjoyed the birthday celebrations.
Weekly Student Visits
Some of the residents are enjoying time with some students from Bootham school that come and visit with them every Monday afternoon after school, the residents have enjoyed the students coming for about 2/3 years now. The students that come visit the same resident every week so they do build up a bond with them!
10 Years Service Award
Colin, the Catering manager has been presented his award for ten years service with Alison, the homes administrator. Residents and staff enjoyed an afternoon toasting Colin and enjoying the buffet he had prepared for all of us!
Nutrition Week Tea Party
The residents at Mulberry Court recently enjoyed an Afternoon Tea Party for National Nutrition Week.
Dorothy Turns 100!
A resident from Mulberry Court, Dorothy Turner recently turned 100 years young! She had a wonderful time celebrating with all her family!
