Steve Edgar

General Manager

Hi, my name is Steve Edgar and I am the General Manager here at Mulberry Court.

I qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) in 1991 and I have spent most of my working life in the public sector. I worked for 20 years in a crisis intervention service, first as a counsellor and then as the manager.

In 2011 I accepted my first position in the independent sector, managing a small nursing home for adults with enduring mental health problems in Bradford, as well as providing arms-length management support to three related services in the Leeds and Bradford areas.

Since then I have gone on to manage an older person’s nursing and residential home in Bradford and, up until joining Barchester, I was the manager of a specialised dementia unit in Harrogate.

I am here to welcome you into the home and am always happy to offer assistance and support.

They have encouraged strong links with the community and both of them like to design the lifestyle programme with input from residents, identifying and meeting individual needs and preferences.

Both are passionate about supporting residents to have the most fulfilling lives possible whilst living at Mulberry Court.
