I was recognised and awarded Hampshire’s care home manager of the year in 2020 for fantastic leadership and commitment to the social care sector and I am delighted to have joined the family here at Mulberry Court to share my knowledge and experience.

I am passionate about person centred care and getting out and about locally with the residents and looking forward to getting to know everyone individually.  ‘Being a manager is not just a job it’s a way of life and everyone in my care is treated like family’.

I look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Eileen Haw

Resident Ambassador

Hi, I am Eileen. I have been living at Mulberry Court since 2021.

I love living at Mulberry and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. My main goal being Mulberry’s resident ambassador is ensuring I visit all of my fellow residents especially those who have no visitors or family. I love to help our activities co-ordinators deliver activities and am always thinking of new things we could do, I have regular meetings with our general manager Rachael to catch up with what is going on in the home and in the local community.

Mike Pollard

Bank Activities Co-ordinator

My name is Michael Pollard and I like to be called Mike. I am Bank Activities here at Mulberry Court.

My experience is looking after my partner who was diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia (Alzheimer’s) in 2012. My partner went into care in July 2019, and I was devastated when after only a few months the country went into lockdown, and I could no longer visit. For me, there was only one thing to do, pack my sales and marketing job up, and initially became a care assistant.

Having lived and cared for someone for many years with Dementia, I know only too well how important it is to help that person to stay active and involved with different activities for their health and wellbeing.

My involvement initially with activities, was as a volunteer at Mulberry Court, helping to make residents lives a little bit more special. I won Northern Volunteer of The Year in 2023 - which I am very proud of.
