Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Stonehouse in Bloom - Update

Our residents have been working extremely hard on their Stonehouse in Bloom entry. I am pleased to say this now takes pride of place on the green outside the doctors surgery and can be enjoyed in all its splendour by the whole community. The residents helped plant the beautiful flowers in situe and our resident poet wrote a poem which takes pride of place on top. As there is a fish and chip shop nearby, and planting is tiring work,  we had to, of course make a stop for a spot of lunch!

Standish Hospital Story Catching event at Moreton Hill

With support from the local history society, Moreton Hill hosted a 'story catching event' to capture as many memories and stories of the now closed Standish hospital. Members of the community joined us with some very interesting photographs to share with the group.

Tea dance at a local homecare company

Our residents were kindly invited to a tea party at a local homecare company. One of our residents won a beautiful plant at the raffle! The tea party was to raise the awareness of social isolation within the community and was a great success.

Pamper session at Moreton Hill

The ladies of Moreton Hill enjoyed a pamper session with nail care and hand massage. Everyone said what a lovely treat it was with a gentle meander through the beautiful gardens picking wild flowers to press afterwards and enjoying the sunshine.
