Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Getting crafty with the P3 Community Group

The residents of Moreton Hill met with members of the P3 Community Group today making table decorations with silk flowers in a clay stand. Some really interesting and eye catching designs were created! If you would like to join the group please contact Moreton Hill to register your interest.

The seaside comes to Moreton HIll

What better way to spend a sunny afternoon than to bring the seaside to the residents at Moreton Hill!  With ice creams and sun hats on, you can see from the lovely photo's it was a fabulous way to spend the afternoon. A fantastic board was created to capture the fun with the pictures designed in postcard style and feature residents and staff.  The board is sensory with felt sea, corrugated board for sand and real shells and deck chair fabric and will be on display in the home, why don't you pop in and have a look?

PAT dog therapy at Moreton Hill

It’s well-known (and scientifically proven) that interaction with a gentle, friendly pet has significant benefits ranging from increasing socialisation and reducing anxiety to encouraging communication. We are very lucky to be able to offer this service to all of our residents at Moreton Hill with room visits with a PAT therapy dog.

The sun was shining whilst the residents enjoyed a garden party with a variety of cakes made by our head chef. I'm sure you can see from the photos everyone had a great time!
