Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Shadow, one of our ponies, popped in to say hello to the residents yesterday. He is very partial to a carrot or two and will be calling in next Monday lunchtime, hooves crossed!

Shadow is a Welsh Mountain Pony and his owner Lou takes him to ploughing competitions around the locality.

Visitors, staff, family members and residents came along for our organised presentation 'An Evening With June Hennell MBE, Exploding The Dementia Myth'. With thanks also to Gloucestershire Fire Service for their advice on fire safety in the home. It was standing room only as the beautifully presented dining room filled to capacity. Feedback from visitors was fantastic with compliments to both speakers and the new care home manager Daney Thomas.

The residents of Moreton Hill had such fun today at the Stonehouse Yarn Bombing- Painting the town pink. This is a community event where the main road into Stonehouse is decorated with knitting for breast cancer awareness. All the residents have been working hard for months on thier creations!
