Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Caring Canines

We had a wonderful first visit from Pauline and Sky our lovely Caring Canine and owner. Sky loved looking around the home and visiting some of our residents in their rooms. We look forward to welcoming you both back very soon.

Easter Bunny Hunt

We had a lovely afternoon in the garden, we held a Easter Bunny Hunt in the garden for children from the community to come along to find all the bunnies. Everyone who entered received a prize, all entries went into the drawer for the large Easter Egg which Noah one. Well done Noah - I hope you enjoy your prize and maybe share it with your brother.

Ladies Day

Ladies Day

We celebrated Ladies day on Friday with some flower arranging in the morning and fizz and canapes in the afternoon.

Mr Kelloggs Visit

We had a wonderful visit from Mr Kelloggs who came and visited residents in the lounge and their rooms. 

He was an instant hit and we will welcome him back later in the year.

Scrabble Match

We all put our brains into action to play giant scrabble with Steve this week in the lounge, a competitive game with the teams trying to come up with the best words.

Bug Hotel

Carrying on work in our garden, Scott our Head of Maintenance has been out helping residents build a rather large bug hotel to go in our wild garden.
