Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is a major focus of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat will always be welcomed.

Trev the Great Entertainer

We had a very good turnout as the residents enjoyed a repeat performance from the excellent Trev Budgie.
 The songs were classic and the interactions between Trev and the residents were so wholesome. We very much enjoy Trev coming to Melbourn Springs and we look forward to seeing him again in the not-too-distant future.

Football's coming home

Inspired by England Lionesses recent win over World Champions, Spain, the residents decided to get some extra training in just in case they get a late call-up for the next game!!
 Based on the skills and fancy footwork on display it is only a matter of time before football comes home!!

A sunny walk around Melbourn

The World seems like such a better place when the skies and blue and the sun is shining and with this in mind it was the perfect weather for the residents to have a little stroll around Melbourn.
 Whilst there was a definite early spring chill in the air, it was lovely to be out and about and taking in the fresh air. With the weather set fair for at least the rest of the week, we will be aiming do have as many outdoor activities as possible.

Two homes......one amazing Virtual Reality experience

Our very good friends at Margaret House Care Home invited us to join them for an amazing Virtual Reality experience at their home and the residents could not wait to go.
 They experienced walking around the Titanic, swimming with tropical fish and exploring the solar system, which were just a few of the many options available.
 Once everybody had finished we were treated to tea and cakes from the catering team at Margaret House.
 We will be enjoying another VR event with Margaret House later in the month, this time at Melbourn Springs and we very much look forward to welcoming them all to our wonderful home.

Graham and John entertain the residents

Live entertainment made a welcome return to Melbourn Springs this week courtesy of the excellent Graham and John. 

The residents were singing along and foot-tapping throughout the afternoon to a brilliant mixture of old-time classics mixed with some more modern day music. Graham and John certainly know what our residents want to hear and do absolutely everything to ensure that nobody is left disappointed.

We cannot wait to welcome them back to the home again very soon.

Happy Birthday Lawrence

We had a very special day at Melbourn Springs earlier in the week as it was Lawrence who celebrated his Birthday with a home-made cake from Chef and a card from everybody at the home.
 At Melbourn Springs we celebrate birthdays not just as a mark of ageing another year but as a celebration of life, achievements, and personal growth. Birthdays provide a special opportunity for us to help residents to gather with loved ones and create lasting memories.
 We hope you had an amazing day Lawrence!!!
