Activities at Meadow Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Care Home Open Day

Residents, staff members and guests were also treated to refreshments, dancing and live musical entertainment.

We are one of the first to receive a new dementia care accreditation!

We are one of the first to receive a new dementia care accreditation!

Meadow Park has achieved accreditation for a new standard of dementia care after taking part in a 10 month pilot trialling a new programme developed by dementia care specialists at Barchester Healthcare.

The 10-60-6 dementia programme will replace Barchester's current dementia care programme in order to ensure that the care services provided by our Memory Lane communities for people living with dementia are the best in the sector.

A certificate and trophy were presented to us at a celebratory lunch on 15th August. The presentations were opened by Martin Green who is the Chief Executive of Care England, the largest representative body for independent social care services in the UK.
