Activities at Marnel Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

We both joined Marnel a while ago and we are very excited to be part of such a proactive and dedicated team. There are lots of ideas and innovations, all to enhance quality of life of our residents. Every day is different and to understand the needs of our residents, building relationship with them and keeping in touch with their families and friends, is the most important and rewarding job we could have wish for.

Dementia Awareness Week
Our Memory Lane community enjoyed a lovely trip out to Robin's Nest during Dementia Awareness Week. Staff also wore odd shoes for the day!
We're proud to be rated 'Good'
Staff at Marnel Lodge have been celebrating the outcome of their CQC inspection, which rated us as 'Good'. Everyone is very happy with the result!
Heart & Soul Award - April
Congratulations to Shona Cowdrey, who won April's Heart & Soul Award for going that extra mile.
Easter Cakes
Our Memory Lane community was very busy making Easter cakes. We all enjoyed helping make it and having a cup of tea and a good ol' chin wag too.
Daisy Chain Easter Egg Hunt
A few Daisy Chain children came to Marnel Lodge for an Easter egg hunt; they made paper baskets with residents and then went to look for their Easter eggs in the garden.
60th Wedding Anniversary
Betty and Peter enjoyed a party with family and friends at Marnel Lodge for their 60th wedding anniversary.
