Activities at Marnel Lodge Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Les has worked exceptionally hard to turn our gardens round this year and due to these efforts we were named as a divisional winner in the 'Resident Garden of the Year' category for Barchester in Bloom.

Farmyard Fun

Farm animals came to Marnel Lodge and brought the sun along with them. Everyone enjoyed spending time with these beautiful creatures! The Daisy Chain children also came up to visit and loved seeing all the animals as well.

Daisy Chain Children

The Daisy Chain children came to visit us at Marnel Lodge recently. They drew pictures of residents and then we ended they day with a singing session. After all the hard work, we had tea and orange juice all round.

Inside Picnic

Inside Picnic

Our Memory Lane communities were due to go on a picnic, but the heavens opened up, so we all decided that we would hold our picnic downstairs. We had dancing and party games and lovely food. Family members joined us too.
