Our Activities Coordinators work as a team by involving staff and relatives in the activities sessions. They implement and plan activities tailored to residents' likes, dislikes, beliefs and life stories. Lots of people choose to place loved ones in Magnolia Court because of our reputation for hosting great activities all year long!

Activities Coordinator Lead

I joined Barchester in December 2019 as an Activities assistant and in February 2022 I became the Activities Lead at Magnolia Court Care Home. I am passionate about my role at Magnolia Court, I am a people person and nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on our Residents faces. It is a joy to work with such a great team, I am very happy to be a part of team Magnolia and look forward to meeting you soon!

Life at Magnolia Court Care Home

Christmas Cinderella

Cinderella, the royal messenger, the best prince’s friend and Veronica, the step sister of Cinderella, from Art Depot Theatre came dressed in their finest costumes to wish a Merry Christmas to our lovely residents, they really made their day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Alyth Kindergarten Visited Magnolia

Alyth Garden Nursery visited Magnolia this month, Jenny was happy to play accordion and had art and craft session with the residents. The nursery will be visiting us on a regular basis. 

Community Lunch

Magnolia hosted people from the community for lunch on Friday the 22nd November. Our guest really enjoyed the meal and enjoyed the birthday party in the afternoon, they were really pleased to cut the cake and blow the candles with our lovely residents.

Magnolia Court was proud to enter the silver week care homes art competition in the borough. Our piece of art  purely made by the residents and our volunteer artist Michelle Jebili, was highly recommended.

Prizes were distributed by the mayor of Barnet cllr Caroline Stock on Grandparent’s day.

We said farewell to Barbara, an excellent manager. Barbara will be sorely missed and we wish her all the best in her future adventures!
