Activities at Magnolia Court Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators work as a team by involving staff and relatives in the activities sessions. They implement and plan activities tailored to residents' likes, dislikes, beliefs and life stories. Lots of people choose to place loved ones in Magnolia Court because of our reputation for hosting great activities all year long!

I joined Barchester in December 2019 as an Activities assistant and in February 2022 I became the Activities Lead at Magnolia Court Care Home. I am passionate about my role at Magnolia Court, I am a people person and nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on our Residents faces. It is a joy to work with such a great team, I am very happy to be a part of team Magnolia and look forward to meeting you soon!

How wonderful, residents at Magnolia Court grew the tallest Sunflower in the Age UK Barnet tallest sunflower competition.
Residents love spending time in our lovely garden so it was great getting involved with Age UK’s Barnet’s gardening project.
We have lots of fragrant herbs, home grown veggies and brightly coloured flowers a little haven to sit in and garden in.
Trip to the Arts Depot
It's Magic !
Residents and team members from Magnolia Court enjoyed a fabulous trip arranged by our Life enrichment team. We hopped on the mini bus and set off for the Arts Depot in Finchley.
We went to see The Morgan and West Magic show. It was a great show and afterwards we were treated to some live music and looked at the interesting art on display.
Then back to Magnolia Court where our chefs had a wonderful supper waiting for us.
Gentleman's Club !

At Magnolia Court our gentleman's club get together for a chat, a tipple and a battle of wits over a board game or cards.

It has been a busy weekend for Residents at Magnolia Court so Tammie from our life enrichment team arranged relaxing pampering sessions.
Magnolia Courts Ladies and Gents enjoyed a lovely hand massage followed by a manicure in our beautiful salon.

Dish of the day !
Magnolia Court's chef team prepared a delicious menu for residents. Golden beer battered cod, chipped potatoes, crushed minted peas with a home made tartare sauce. Always a firm favorite on a Friday with all at Magnolia Court.
There was also a choice of Lamb stroganoff with chipped or creamed potatoes. A delicious Courgette Soup to start and Apple Crumble seasoned with cinnamon served with a vanilla custard for desert.
Served with white wine in our beautiful dining room.

Trip out to Sunshine garden's !!
Residents from Magnolia Court were delighted to take a trip out to visit the Sunshine Garden Centre in Muswell Hill. It is packed full of lots of interesting plants, there was so much to see and choose from. We selected some beauties to add to our gardens here at Magnolia Court.
After all that hard work residents relaxed in the café and enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and a delicious piece of cake. What a lovely sunshine day !!…
