Activities at Lydfords Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Hello,

I'm Sue and I am one of the Activity Coordinators here at Lydfords!

As part of the Lifestyle Enrichment team I will be organising daily activities & I am responsible for keeping everyone busy and engaged in and around our beautiful home and gardens, as well as getting out and about as much as possible.

I will ensure our residents have varied activities to choose from each day.

I enjoy enriching our residents lives, creating memories and friendships.

Carpet Bowls

With the cold and windy weather outside, two of Lydfords residents had fun and got competitive with a game of indoor bowls, assisted by Carer Lauren and Housekeeper Tom.

Minibus Drive

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside….

At Lydfords we are very fortunate to have some stunning scenery right on our doorstep.

Residents have been out enjoying the views on a drive in the minibus.

Our residents had a fabulous time and it’s helped them with their well-being, being near the sea and getting a beautiful change of scenery can always help the soul, from the stunning views of the South Downs to the rugged South Coast and down along the seafront past Eastbourne Pier.

Minibus trips are scheduled a few times a month to ensure all residents who want to participate, can!

Mini Bus Seaside Drive

Residents at Lydfords got out and about in the minibus to enjoy a scenic trip along the stunning East Sussex coast to Pevensey Bay.

Lots of reminiscing was had with stories of trips to the seaside & we are looking forward to coming back to the beach when the sun is shining and the weather is warm!
