Hi, my name is Maria, and I am the General Manager here at Lydfords. Welcome to our website!
I am a Registered Nurse who has many years of experience in health & social care, which includes time spent in the private sector.
I have a Level 5 Diploma in Management and I have been the Manager of Lydfords since 2010.
I believe that everyone should have the best care possible and should treat everyone as if they are part of our family. There is nothing more rewarding then to be able to support and care for people in the later stages of their life.
I am proud to manager Lydfords Care Home and I look forward to welcome you and your loved ones in our care !
I have been a registered nurse for over 10 years, working primarily with elderly people in nursing homes.
At Lydfords, I started as a registered nurse in 2013, and was promoted to Clinical Lead and then Deputy Manager shortly after.
I had the opportunity to learn and study for my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership, which I finished in 2018.
I lead my team by example: being open, honest and passionate about providing the best nursing care for residents.
I always try my best and take pride in my work as a Deputy Manager and Registered Nurse.
I have a good relationships with other health professionals residents, relatives and colleagues
I have worked in the care sector since 2000 and at Lydfords from 2015. Previous to that, I worked in banking for 23 years. I enjoy my role, which is varied and fulfilling, and I have a good rapport with residents and their families.
I’m kept busy outside of work with the usual family commitments, which include four young grandchildren and my passion for sea fishing.
Hello, my name is Carole. I have worked at Lydfords Care Home for over 6 years as Activities Coordinator.
I moved to East Sussex with my family in 2013, from Croydon, where I had grown up and lived all my life. I am married and have 3 lovely children. Before moving here, I worked as a Doctor's Receptionist and a Chemist Counter Assistant. I was also a Cub Scout Leader for over 25 years. I started working at Lydfords in January 2014.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my six grandchildren, who keep me very busy, my two dogs, Arts and Crafts, and try to relax a little in my garden.
I really love my job, Activities at Lydfords is a happy, friendly, fun place to work. We share lots of memories, and make lots of new ones together.
I am the Head Chef at Lydfords. I started here in March 2016. I have experience as a chef in various jobs, including pubs, coffee shops and an outdoor activity centre catering for over 200 children.
I am very happy here and very proud to be part of the Barchester family, providing good nutritional meals for our residents.
I have worked at Lydfords since 2013. I am enjoying my role as a Head of the Housekeeping department, working alongside a great team and a very supportive management.
I have an NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping, a degree in Psycho-Sociology and also a degree in Management.
On a personal level, I am married and I have a child. I like to read and to travel around the world.
I started at Lydfords in 2016. I have a wealth of experience in care homes and I have worked as a Care Assistant since 2009.
I live in Hailsham and I am married. In my spare time, I like spending time in my garden and visiting friends and family.
I have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
I started at Lydfords in 2020 and I am really happy with the decision made to join Lydfords.
I take pride in my work and I love being able to support our residents by delivering great care.
I live locally and I am a qualified registered nurse abroad, but not currently practising in UK.
I have worked at Lydfords since 2013 and I thoroughly enjoy working here and supporting our residents.

I live in Hailsham and, in my spare time, I look after my beautiful cats.
