Activities at Lancaster Grange Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Lancaster Grange Care Home

Boccia Game

Boccia Game

We were recently invited over to Fernwood Chuter Ede Primary School to play Boccia, precision ball sport. We had a fantastic time, residents enjoyed playing the game with the children on the grass. Everyone spent the afternoon having ice creams and cold drinks. We are looking forwards to our next visit to the school.

Green House Opening

Green House Opening

Residents received a donation from a local company called Bakavor, they had raised money through a Christmas raffle and we were so lucky that they picked Lancaster Grange to donate their funds to.

We decided as a home that we would buy something that could benefit all residents and we opened a green house. On our open day Bakavor came and cut the ribbon, we celebrated in the garden with a Rock n Roll band and hot dogs. Everyone had a lovely afternoon and are very thankful to Bakavor for their kind gesture.

Hodsock Priory

Hodsock Priory

We enjoyed a recent trip to Hodsock Priory. We stumbled upon a campfire, where we indulged in some hot chocolate in the great outdoors.

National Pizza Day

National Pizza Day

Residents thoroughly enjoyed making pizzas, and we travelled to Italy via armchair in the afternoon.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year

Residents enjoyed a selection of Chinese delicacies that were cooked up by our Head Chef. We had a brilliant morning with gentle music and stories from residents who have visited China.

National Storytelling Week

National Storytelling Week

We were joined by 30 pupils from our local primary school, who read to residents as part of National Storytelling Week, which everyone enjoyed.
