Activities at Lancaster Grange Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Carers Afternoon

Thank you to family members and local businesses such as Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Coop and Bakkavor cream cakes who kindly donated cakes and other goodies for 'carers afternoon' at Lancaster Grange. Everyone was truly spoilt.

Treats from Church

Lancaster Grange were treated to some lovely flavoured fudges, which were kindly donated to us from Riverside Church in Southwell. Thank you so very much, we will enjoy the tasting session.

National Fish n Chips Day

Lancaster Grange celebrated 'national fish and chips day', one of, if not the UK's most eaten meal. Yummy!

Commemoration Service

On 1st June, each year is the anniversary of our commemoration service that we hold here at Lancaster Grange. Our residents and staff pay tribute to the Americans, Canadians and British Air Force who served at Balderton Airfield where Lancaster Grange is built upon.

Still Life Drawings

Residents enjoyed participating in some 'still life drawing' with pastels, crayons and water colours. They had lots of fun enjoying the challenge of learning to draw and being creative.

Garden Walks

Residents at Lancaster Grange enjoyed walks in the lovely garden areas, whilst enjoying ice cream in the sunshine with our memory lane residents. We visited the new garden area that we planted last week, keeping on top of watering.
