Activities at Florence Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. I decided that I wanted to progress my career in an Activities capacity so became an activities provider then progressed to an Activities Co-Ordinator which I did for 2 years prior to joining the team at Florence Court . I have a real passion for Activities and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the residents life's through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them finding out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.

This week has been a very entertaining one at Florence Court!
First we enjoyed a performance by the lovely Lynn and Colin of Doorstep Entertainments, everyone loved the songs and dancing but most of all the comedy that had us all laughing along!
Later in the week we were visited by Fiona Harrison, taking us down memory lane with her wonderful versions of our favourite 1940's/50s songs

Our First Year Celebrations
Residents, families, guests and team members all enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music, laughter, wonderful food and glasses of bubbles to celebrate Florence Court's first year of opening. We were thrilled to be joined by the Mayor and Mayoress of Fareham amongst other VIP's, with great company and a fantastic birthday cake!
Out and about with friends
Enjoying a trip to Garson's Garden Center with friends is the perfect way to spend a rainy day Going out in the minibus and looking around whilst doing a spot of shopping. Always followed by tea and cake in the cafe. Yum ! Residents love being able to go on trips into our local areas, with garden centres being a firm favourite amongst them
