Activities at Florence Court Care Home

Our lovely residents enjoyed a trip out to M&S for a spot of shopping. They had a great time browsing the aisles, choosing a few treats and enjoying some time out together. They also stopped off for a sweet treat and coffee to finish off the afternoon.   

Our residents had a wonderful time making their very own butter! 

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and a little hard work as we turned cream into delicious homemade butter.      

Our lovely residents celebrated national cheesecake day by making their very own delicious chocolate cheesecake. They were hands-on, crushing the biscuit base to adding the creamy chocolate filling and finishing with tasty toppings. Everyone enjoyed getting hands on in the kitchen. The best part was sitting down together to enjoy the finished cheesecakes.

A huge thank you to Matt O’Neil for another fantastic performance. As always, our residents thoroughly enjoyed every moment with plenty of singing, smiling and toe-tapping along to the music.

Last week, we enjoyed a relaxing trip to Titchfield Mill for drinks in their beer garden. It was lovely to cool down with refreshing beverages and to socialise with friends.

The sun was shining, and we spent the afternoon laughing together, sharing stories about places we’ve visited, lived, and the experiences we’ve had along the way.       

We had a fantastic time at Florence Court celebrating Oktoberfest. 

Our residents enjoyed a delicious selection of Bavarian food and some German beer, followed by a fun Oktoberfest quiz. A huge thank you to our kitchen team for the delicious food.       

We had the best time bringing a taste of Hawaii to our home with our Hawaiian-themed party for our 5-year anniversary. We welcomed residents and families, past and present, as well as all staff to celebrate this wonderful milestone. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special. 

The smiles, laughter and fantastic spirit made the celebration one to remember.    

Our first evening bingo session was a great success! Residents enjoyed an evening full of fun, laughter and a little healthy competition as they put their luck to the test. Well done to all of our lucky winners!

To celebrate Alice In Wonderland day, residents gathered together to enjoy a delicious selection of cakes, tea and coffee while surrounded by themed props and decorations. 

The bistro was transformed into a magical setting, creating a fun and memorable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.  

Father’s day was celebrated in style here at Florence Court with a BBQ and amazing entertainment from Nathalie Gunn.

It was a beautiful, hot and sunny day filled with laughter, dancing and unforgettable memories.

Thank you to all our staff for their assistance and a big shout out to our wonderful kitchen team for ensuring all resident’s and their families were catered for.         

We were delighted to welcome Freddie Saxo back to Florence Court for a fantastic afternoon of live saxophone music and singing. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance with everyone getting involved, singing along and clapping to the music.    

Anna & Lin from St Peters Church joined us for a creative activity inspired by God’s Net Of Love. Together, we made a colourful net and fish scene with everyone getting involved and sharing their creativity. A lovely way to spend time together, reflect on the meaning behind the activity and enjoy some fun along the way.

There was no better way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day than with delicious ice cream sundaes. Our residents got stuck in creating their own sundaes with a wonderful selection of toppings to choose from. From sprinkles, to sauces and a few tasty extra’s, there was something for everyone.

A lovely afternoon filled with smiles, laughter and of course, ice cream!

Today we enjoyed a trip to West Hill Park School to watch their dress rehearsal of their musical rendition of The Wind in the Willows.

The children all put so much hard work into their performance, and you could tell how much time and effort was put into the whole production by the school. The set was absolutely fantastic.

The residents at Florence Court were overjoyed watching their performance and had a wonderful time! 

We had a wonderful evening yesterday, enjoying cheese and wine in our beautiful garden, taking in the late sunshine!

We sampled a delicious variety of cheeses, crackers, and tasty accompaniments. It was still beautifully warm – the perfect setting for a relaxing evening!

We are very much looking forward to our next evening of fun!
