Activities at Florence Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. I decided that I wanted to progress my career in an Activities capacity so became an activities provider then progressed to an Activities Co-Ordinator which I did for 2 years prior to joining the team at Florence Court . I have a real passion for Activities and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the residents life's through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them finding out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.

Today we enjoyed playing host to a few Residents from a fellow Barchester home. We loved welcoming them with a group cocktail afternoon - the 'woo woo' cocktail was a definite favourite We look forward to our next meet up which was voted that we'd try Frozen Pina Colada's
Fun on the Beach
Life takes you down many paths, but the best ones lead to the beach
Residents loved our trip to the beach today to enjoy tea and cake in a local cafe and a stroll along in the sun and sea breeze
Time to listen and chat
Spending quality time with residents whilst listening to their memories of long ago and then catching up on their iPad just makes our days here so amazing.
