Activities at Drummond Grange Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

National Poetry Day

National Poetry Day

To celebrate National Poetry Day, resident, Ena, from Kevock, our care of the elderly suite, wrote a poem.

The Drummond Angels

The Drummond angels -
Who are they?
They care of me
Night and day.
Each morning I wake,
I wonder - who?
Who will take care of me today?
What shall we do?

These dedicate people are so fine.
Their skills and dedication are totally mine.
No matter how difficult the task,
They see for themselves - I don't have to ask.
On the odd day when I feel blue,
They know exactly what to do:
We swap funny stories and all fine,
I am their friend - I hope they are mine.

No more to be said; I've said it all.
Let's have a cup of tea; let's have a ball.
