Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Kingsley School Carols and Birthday
The 11th day of Christmas brought a birthday surprise for Resident; Ashley courtesy of chef and festive Carol performance from the students of Kingsley School Kettering who came into sing some lovely songs which the residents enjoyed. Our residents really enjoyed the singing and loved having a chat with the children.

Claremont Staff Christmas Party
Staff appreciation comes in many forms, when Nurse Niko and the team suggested we have a get together for Christmas at the Park House Pub staff at Claremont Parkway jumped at the chance to get together and party!
The homes newly appointed General Manager; Katie jumped at the chance to attend as it would be a great opportunity to recognise, and thank the team for all they do on a daily basis for our residents, and one another.
Christmas is a time for togetherness and fun and we certainly had that in bucket loads!

Keeping Fit with Glen
Ensuring our residents remain active is so important, an exercise class with Glen from Gfitness certainly got us all moving!
With high impact music to get the group in the mood for fun, Glen had us all concentrating on our upper arm and leg strength using resistance bands, and soft ball and net for our throwing and coordination skills.

Trees up for Christmas
In preparation for the upcoming Christmas festivities, we spent time decorating our home with colourful themed ornaments, lights and baubles.
Our residents; Una, Catherine and Toni enjoyed setting up and dressing all our community Christmas Trees. They had a lovely time chatting about their family traditions and trees

Jingle Bells with Singer 'Eiryls’
Live entertainment today came courtesy of ‘Eiryls’ with her amazing sing-along Christmas show!
She had us all singing and dancing to favourites such as; Step into Christmas, Santa Baby, Rocking around the Christmas and even Feliz Navidad.
Resident Peter loved her rendition of Fairy Tale of New York and we all shuck our sleigh bells to Let it snow, White Christmas and We wish you a Merry Christmas.

Clare Care at Christmas
On the 4th day of Christmas our residents enjoyed a good old Christmas sing-a-long with the lovely singer Clare Care who certainly got us all in the Christmas spirit!
Claremont Parkway have plenty more festive events planned between now and Santa's big day. Please see our Countdown to Christmas calendar poster for more details. Please come and be entertained at any one of our activities, enjoy a warm drink and mince pie or two with friends.
