Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Daxter Board

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Daxter and I'm the activities coordinator here at Claremont Parkway. I've worked within care homes since moving to Kettering and have experience across the departments giving me a good understanding of all our resident's needs.

I'm passionate about providing tailored activities that truly engage each and every resident. Through getting to know them as individuals, I can work together with my colleagues to find life enriching experiences; small or large that will brighten their days whilst they reside with us.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact me direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Bob brings big sounds to Kettering

Residents at Claremont Parkway love it when Bob Ward and his saxophone entertain us with 'Bob's Big Band Sounds'. Some of us even had a dance to the jazz and swing tunes he played for us.

,

Bowling Contest

At Claremont Parkway we had lots of competitive, active fun with our giant bowling set. Games like this help us to keep fit, socialise and laugh.

Helping our Housekeeping Team

We all like to be helpful and feel useful, and there is no reason for that to change when someone moves into a care home. Residents like to help in lots of ways - baking, gardening, cleaning and tidying. Jean likes to help the Claremont Parkway Housekeeping Team by folding some of the freshly washed towels.

Wellness Wednesday

On Wellness Wednesdays the salon at Claremont Parkway is busy as Debbie gives our ladies and gents a trim and restyle.

Coffee and cake at Costa

We are so pleased we can go out and about again in the Claremont Parkway minibus. We did a bit of shopping and enjoyed coffee and cake in Costa.

Steve is our Employee of the Month

Resident Peter was delighted to present Claremont Parkway's Head of Maintenance with a certificate and a bottle of Jack Daniels for being February's Employee of the Month. Steve is especially busy at the moment as he is supporting the contractors who are currently working on our fabulous refurbishment.
