Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

I joined the Chorleywood Beaumont team in 2023 an activities coordinator lead. I have worked in the care sector for over 9 years and I have been a wellbeing Activities lead for over 2 years. In this time I continue to build a great knowledge of skills and experience in providing and implementing a variety of activities to cater and support for all needs. Suiting each individual, supporting the mind body and soul. I am passionate about my role here at Chorleywood Beaumont, providing person centred support and caring for the wellbeing of everyone. I am a people person and I love putting a smile on our resident’s faces. It is so rewarding and makes me happy.

Chorleywood Beaumont now has a knitting club!
By popular demand Chorleywood Beaumont now has a knitting club.
Residents have set up a knitting club and it has been a great success and will be held on a regularly.
Not only is knitting relaxing and a fantastic skill, it is also a lovely social event for everyone to enjoy if you are taking part or watching others. Everyone is welcome so please come along.

Very Important Pets
Pet Therapy is one of the most treasured activities here at Chorleywood Beaumont and we are delighted to be welcoming the team from Performing Pets Today we meet these adorable British Shorthair kittens.
Everyone loves to say hello and we can see the joy these little VIPs bring. Animal Therapy is proven to reduce anxiety, provide comfort and mental stimulation. and of course everyone loves a cuddle.
We can’t wait for Performing Pets to visit us again!
Christmas time at Chorleywood Beaumont.
Its Christmas time at Chorleywood Beaumont and we know how to throw a party. Lots of fun, delicious food, plenty of fizz and lots of dancing and singing Residents and staff had a fabulous afternoon and were joined by Father Christmas!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for The Chorleywood Beaumont Jazz and cocktails event. It was a fabulous afternoon, with great music from Chorleywood Jazz and delicious festive treats baked by Head Chef Gulcin.
John, Resident at Chorleywood Beaumont said “I love music and especially jazz, so when I heard we were having a Jazz event I couldn’t wait. It was a fantastic day, both myself and my daughter enjoyed it immensely. Thanks to all those involved. Absolutely superb and the cocktails were delicious. ”

Jazz and Cocktails at Chorleywood Beaumont.
Residents and guests at Chorleywood Beaumont care home enjoyed an afternoon of live Jazz and cocktails.
Local band "Chorleywood Jazz" performed a selection of Christmas sounds including their own rendition of Jingle Bells in the homes Terrace Restaurant.
Residents joined in with the singing, and clapped along as the band performed. Guests were invited to sample festive home baked treats and delicious cocktails.
We decided to fund raise at the event and we will be donating all the proceeds to Christ Church and the wonderful groups they host for older people in our community.

30 years of care at Barchester.
30 years of Care.
This year marks Barchester’s 30th anniversary and celebrations are taking place in all Barchester care services up and down the country across the month of November.
Here at Chorleywood Beaumont, we threw a special party to celebrate this milestone in style. We organised a fantastic party to celebrate our residents, their families and friends, and our hard-working team members. Our talented chef Annette and her team prepared delicious sweet and savoury treats and refreshing drinks for all to enjoy.
To everyone’s delight we were joined by members of our community and friends of Chorleywood Beaumont and vintage performer @fionaharrisonavoiceinamillion entertained us all with her "Putting on the Ritz show".
We’ve loved getting to know our residents over the years. Each day is filled with the things that matter the most to them and our care is always tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
We would like to take this lovely opportunity to say a big thank you all families, friends, our local community and our amazing staff for all their dedication and support over the years and always.
