Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Jaime Gilbank

Activities Coordinator Lead

I joined the Chorleywood Beaumont team in 2023 an activities coordinator lead. I  have worked in the care sector for over 9 years and I have been a wellbeing Activities lead for over 2 years.  In this time I continue to build a great knowledge of skills and experience in providing and implementing a variety of activities to cater and support for all needs. Suiting each individual, supporting the mind body and soul.  I am passionate about my role here at Chorleywood Beaumont, providing person centred support and  caring for the wellbeing of everyone. I am a people person and I love putting a smile on our resident’s faces. It is so rewarding and makes me happy.

Diwali Celebrations.

Residents and team members at Chorleywood celebrated the Festival Diwali. We dressed up, danced traditional dances and shared delicious food.

Diwali is a celebration that commemorates many important events for Hindus; it marks the day that the Goddess Durga destroyed the demon named Mahisha and it honours the return of Sita and Rama to Ayodhya (an important pilgrimage site in India) after their exile of 14 years.

Happy Diwali to all that celebrate!

A trip out in our mini bus.

This week residents at Chorleywood Beaumont hoped on the mini bus and took a trip to Van Hague Garden Centre in Rickmansworth. It was a bright but fresh autumn afternoon. We wrapped up warm and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful plants and shrubs. Residents bought some Queen Elizabeth Rose bushes which our gardening club will plant in our gardens to honour Her Majesty The Queen.

After out shopping we enjoyed a cuppa and a slice of cake. We had such a lovely time we are already looking forward to our next trip.
