Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Jaime Gilbank

Activities Coordinator Lead

I joined the Chorleywood Beaumont team in 2023 an activities coordinator lead. I  have worked in the care sector for over 9 years and I have been a wellbeing Activities lead for over 2 years.  In this time I continue to build a great knowledge of skills and experience in providing and implementing a variety of activities to cater and support for all needs. Suiting each individual, supporting the mind body and soul.  I am passionate about my role here at Chorleywood Beaumont, providing person centred support and  caring for the wellbeing of everyone. I am a people person and I love putting a smile on our resident’s faces. It is so rewarding and makes me happy.

Life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

World food day celebrations.

World Food Day.

Last Friday Chorleywood Beaumont celebrated World Food Day with a variety of delicious dishes from all over the world, home-cooked and prepared by our talented chefs and our team.

Residents and staff were joined by their loved ones and members of the local community. They enjoyed tasting delicious food and beverages and found out more about traditions and cultures and music from different places around the world.

Pizza making master class.

The Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont had a busy Friday afternoon making their own home made pizza from scratch with the help from our hospitality team.

The smell of the delicious pizza cooking had our tummy’s rumbling and the residents were so proud of their tasty creations.

A day eating pizza is a day well spent

The Barchester care awards.

Good luck to our National Finalists at the Barchester Care awards.

Tomorrow is the Barchester National Care Awards and Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home is absolutely delighted to be celebrating, as not just one but two of the team have been crowned Divisional winners and tomorrow they will find out who will receive the national awards in the Barchester Care Awards 2023.

Nadica Babik, nominated for Hospitality Champion and Julija Paklar nominated for Carer of the year.

The Barchester Care Awards celebrate the staff who go the extra mile for the benefit of the 13,000 residents living in Barchester’s 252 care homes and private hospitals.

Almost 4,000 nominations were received from homes and hospitals across the UK. All entries were a very high standard and Nadica and Julija are both over the moon to have been named winners for the South Division beating hundreds of other nominees and are excited for the finals.

We are so very proud of you both and we wish you the best of luck.

Getting creative and sharing memories.

Residents have been making the most beautiful hand made picture frames with the assistance of each other and our talented team. We decorated the frames with our favorite colours and then spoke about the things that make us happy.

To complete the beautiful frames we added a photo of thing's that make us happy. Many of the residents chose a photo of them smiling and having a good time.

I think you will agree they are truly marvelous and have certainly put a smile on our faces.

Our furry friends.

Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont thoroughly enjoyed a visit from two beautiful and fluffy 5 month old Toy Poodles. Tiny Tim and his sister Tilly went visiting around the home giving lots of cuddles and bringing a smile to everyone's face. Animals bring so much joy and we love having them come to see us.

Thank you to Performing Pets for the visit and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Mine's a G & T!

Residents and team members from Chorleywood Beaumont popped to our local pub and neighbour The Gate pub in Chorleywood, for a lovely after lunch tipple.

Residents enjoyed their drink of choice and great company with their friends.

Cheers! Maybe you can join us next time.
