Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home
A Magical afternoon with the Magic table !
Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont really enjoy using our magic table 360. Because of its interactive nature it encourages interaction, movement and hand and eye coordination. It is very easy to use, so is very beneficial for residents with less mobility. The variety of activities combined with the ability to move the system to those who are less mobile makes it a truly person-centred activity.
An Afternoon of entertainment with Nick Zala !
Chorleywood Beaumont's life enrichment team take pride in providing events and activities for everyone. Nick Zala joined us for an afternoon of live music and entertainment. Nick played in our beautiful lounge and live feeds were linked up with tablets so those residents who were if their rooms were also able to join in the fun and enjoy the music.
Wedding bells chime at Chorleywood Beaumont !
Chorleywood Beaumont were delighted to welcome newly weds Charlotte and Rhys and a selection of their wedding guests looking fantastic in their wedding finery. It was so lovely that Nesta, proud Grandmother, enjoyed the full wedding effect.
Nesta said : “I am just so happy to see my granddaughter married, she looks an absolute picture – I wish them both a long and happy life together. I’m delighted they could come to see me and to be part of this wonderful occasion. I spent a lot of time with Charlotte when she was growing up and it has always been my wish to see her get married. ”
Congratulations to Charlotte and Rhys and thank you for letting us be part of such a wonderful occasion.
Emergency services day !
Residents and team members from Chorleywood Beaumont thanked the emergency services on Emergency services day for their dedication and commitment to keeping us all safe. Our chef, activities and administrative personnel from Chorleywood Beaumont in partnership with Mission EmployAble and their young interns (who are on their induction at the care home as volunteers ) presented the firemen at Rickmansworth Fire Station with freshly made cupcakes.
Last Night of the Proms
Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont joined the English National Ballet’s Philharmonic Orchestra virtually, led by Music Director Gavin Sutherland, to celebrate Last Night of the Proms. From the comfort from our beautiful lounge we were taken on a magical, musical journey.
The English National Ballet Philharmonic is made up of many of the country’s top musicians, and boasts considerable experience in all forms of music-making. With insights and anecdotes into what it takes to conduct an orchestra for a world-class ballet company.
This special concert for Barchester Care Homes encouraged us to get our feet tapping, arms waving and hearts singing!
Bridge Club !
The Chorleywood Beaumont Bridge club get together several time a week for a chat, a tipple and a battle of wits over a game of bridge. They are always keen for new players to join them.
