Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor Care Home

Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor are delivered using the whole home approach, where there is never a dull moment. Our Activities team take great care to make sure that our residents, resident’s families and staff’s physical, mental, and social well-being are taken into account. Whether it is a group session or a personal-centred activity you can be certain it is meeting a need.

We have our regular activities such as Scrabble Club, Bingo, Zumba, Gardening Club, Movie Time, family support meetings, Residents meetings and many more. We are also known for our theme days where the whole home likes to dress up. We have even been known in the past to go for a drive in the minibus in our costumes!

Life at Cherry Blossom Manor Care Home

Living Eggs

Living Eggs

Residents and staff continue the tradition of inviting Living Eggs into the home for Easter. Every year, we take great delight in watching them turn from eggs into our young chicks whom we have lots of cuddles with. As in previous years, our chicks will be going to live with resident's family members, where they will be free to walk and chirp to their hearts' content.

The Classical Trio

The Classical Trio

Residents enjoyed an evening of classical music when Tunes for Life paid us a visit. There were a few tears, lots of laughter and very loud clapping and cheering as the evening came to an end.

Work in Progress

Work in Progress

Following the success and the fun we had whilst making our own reindeer at Christmas, residents were keen to make another model. It was decided during a reminiscence activity about holidays and safaris that they would like to try to make an elephant. As you can see, it's coming along nicely.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day, we not only celebrated with current residents and staff, but also took the opportunity to invite families of past loved ones to join us. We decorated heart shaped biscuits to enjoy with a cup of tea, let off red helium balloons with messages to our loved ones, and played some fantastic George & Ginger love songs.
