Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Mothers Day

Our home was beautifully decorated with bunting and balloons in recognition of Mother’s Day and all the mothers in our home.

During the day, we arranged an afternoon tea party for all our residents. We had some delicious food, prepared by our chef. We had discussions about the role of mothers and reminiscing sessions about our residents’ childhoods. Also,  we had the amazing Mel Lewis play the piano whilst all of this was going on.

We also had our students from come from Pates Grammar school. The residents loved seeing some new faces. Together we went on walks around the home and spent some individual time with residents in their bedrooms!

Our residents got creative and did a range of art activities, as they enjoyed a variety of yummy sweet and savoury treats.

There were smiles all around the home. It was a great day!

Trip to Hester Way Baptist Church

Our residents really enjoyed meeting local community members and friends at Hester Way Baptist Church.

We had a lovely morning taking part in the Coffee Morning event at the church, where our residents were treated to tea and coffee. It was a great way to connect with our community and arrange future visits and activities.

Also, we took the opportunity to donate items for their Food Bank. Thank you to all team members who accommodated and supported this trip out.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Our home was transformed into Graceland to mark what would have been Elvis Presley’s birthday. It is estimated that Elvis has sold over one billion records worldwide so to honour the undisputed King of Rock & Roll, we all enjoyed a fantastic day of music, fun and dancing.

Our residents found out some interesting facts about Elvis that they haven’t heard before with Oomph Quiz. A big thank you to our wonderful friends from Mind Song who organised a special tribute too. Our team members made everyone smile as they got dressed in themed costumes.

Happy New Year!

Here at Badgeworth Court Care Centre, we would like to wish all families, friends, and the community a very happy and safe New Year. A big thank you for all your support during the past year and always – we are very grateful.

To mark the start of the New Year, we hosted a special concert with Music by Phoebe. Our talented chef provided a fantastic hot buffet that we all enjoyed with some champagne. Spirits were high as everyone talked about their hopes and expectations for the year ahead and we all danced and sang to some timeless party songs.

Christmas Piano Concert

Here at Badgeworth Court we were treated to a special Christmas piano concert. To finish off the session, we had a lovely themed discussion and we all shared happy festive memories with each other.

Our talented chef ensured Christmas cocktail and homemade cake are on hand for all to enjoy.

What a great event!

Festive Day

We have had a really busy morning enjoyed by member from our community, residents and family members.

They could choose two fantastic workshops: Christmas wreaths lead by the talented Emma and Christmas card making by the lovely Eillen and her daughter.

To continue with this festive day at 3.30pm we had a fabulous Choir: The Incredibles.

They really brought the Christmas spirit into our home. After this we had delicious cakes and warm drinks provided by our Chef.
