Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Hello, I am Corinne and I am the activities coordinator at Badgeworth Court. I previously worked in finance and wished to broaden my career. I have diploma in Performing Arts and Business, and I have background in the entertainment industry. I am committed to providing a broad range of activities and events with a focus on person centred care.
As a team we are committed to Barchester's Life Enrichment Programme ensuring we work with mind, body and soul.

Life at Badgeworth Court Care Home
Village Bakery Visit
Our residents have had a lovely time at the Village Bakery. shop owner Noushien talked to our residents about memories of their favourite pudding growing up to be considered for our pudding club. The weather was beautiful so the ladies decided to have a delicious raspberry and white chocolate ice cream in the sunshine which was thoroughly enjoyed.
Flower arranging
The residents had a fun morning here at Badgeworth Court making flower arrangements to display around the home. Flower arranging has proved to be a relaxing and therapeutic activity and this has certainly been seen with our residents today.
Chocolate virtual tour
The residents at Badgeworth Court had a fascinating virtual visit to the Harrogate Chocolate Factory today.
The Factory was founded by Harrogate Skills 4 Living, a registered charity that provides care, support and accommodation to people in the Harrogate District with learning disabilities and autism.
Our residents had the opportunity to learn more about how the chocolate factory and café came about, followed by a detailed journey of the bean-to-bar chocolate making process. The residents had lovely time dipping strawberries and marshmallows in chocolate whilst watching.
Mothering Sunday
The residents had a lovely time on Saturday afternoon celebrating Mother’s day. Residents and their families came to join us for afternoon tea and were entertained by saxophonist Alan. Lots of smiles and laughter were had by all.
Chinese New Year
What an amazing day we have here at Badgeworth celebrating Chinese new year. We started the day at lunchtime with our wonderful chef Nick serving a traditional Chinese Menu. The menu consisted of a hot and sour fish soup, followed by chicken and noodles served in a hoisin sauce. The meal was finished with a banana dessert covered in a homemade hot caramel sauce. This afternoon residents were treated to an afternoon performance of Chinese dancing from the children of the local Chinese church. The residents were also able to try traditional Chinese snacks whilst watching.
Pancake day
The staff and residents at Badgeworth Court had a lovely Tuesday morning making pancakes for shrove Tuesday. The residents thoroughly enjoyed making the batter and of course the best bit eating them with a cup of tea. One of our residents Jean said “ she remembers being in the kitchen on pancake day and her mother making them” no doubt it brought back memories for many of our residents.
