Activities at Ashlar House Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Ashlar House Care Home
Christmas Party!!
Its Christmas Party time at Ashlar House and we do know how to throw a party. Lots of fun food, refreshments and singing!! Residents and staff had a fabulous afternoon.
Santa pays us a visit at Ashlar House
Santa visited Ashlar House thanks to the lovely members of our Epping Forest Rotary Club.
Santa paid a visit to our residents and brought cheer and joy into the home. Families, friends and local community members joined in the fun too and enjoyed festive treats and hot drinks. Everyone was asked to bring their Christmas wish list as Santa was giving presents away and he knew who’s been nice or naughty!
The experience was truly enjoyed by all.
Jack and the Beanstalk - Christmas Pantomime
Our residents were treated to a special Christmas themed pantomime performance. Everyone enjoyed the timeless tale full of magical twists, fun, laughter and adventures. During the performance our residents enjoyed a delicious spread of sweet and savoury Christmas treats.
We all had a lovely time.
Christmas is Coming!
Anastasia Music For Health is bringing the festive spirit today, singing, dancing and fun. You know we all need a hot toddy to keep warm and we’ll certainly be filled with good cheer and joy.
Merry Christmas everyone
Chimneys Primary School Christmas Choir
What a fabulous afternoon we all had.
We were visited by 28 children from Ivy Chimneys Primary School, who brought happiness and joy into the home by singing loud and proud their Christmas choir.
The fun continued as the home’s General Manager took over and kept everyone’s vocal cords warm with festive songs and Christmas carols, whilst the Manger Sharon was distributing the sweets at the door.
We all had a fantastic afternoon, full of smiles, laughter and of course, lots of singing! Whilst making paper chain.
Christmas Cheers with Robert Jermone
