Ashlar House is a home we’re people mix and having fun and joy, the staff are outstanding and funny this home is so clean there is a real buzz about the home. The home manager is always visible and approachable. I’m so thrilled to have my mum in this good home thank you everyone

Visiting a person who had dementia at Ashlar House for 18 months

I perform here regularly as an entertainer. I’m taken really good care of by activity manger Rita! We always have a nice session with care staff bringing lots of residents to the lounge and carefully taking care of any needs they have. It’s always fun and quite a nice sophisticated sort of atmosphere. Rita works really hard! Thank you for keep having me come to play!

Staff are caring and helpful and keep everyone entertained they look after my mum very well and she is happy there. I would recommend Ashlar care.

"My husband has spent 6 weeks in the home recovering from an ankle operation. The home has offered all the help he needed for the 1st weeks when he was 'no weight bearing'. It has been a delight to visit with the staff so caring and friendly. Our dog has been made so welcome too and so lovely for my husband to still be able to see him. Perfect choice for us."

I must say I didn’t think mother in law would settle in a nursing home but glad we chose Ashlar House the staff are friendly always helpful and very supportive which makes it feel a happy place

"I have been visiting and taking a resident our for over a year now. I was welcomed by the then manager, the staff are aways polite to me. The resident is very happy with her care, her room is comfortable with her personal belongins around she feels its home from home. She enjoys the classes for mobility but sadly she is now on end of life care. The staff are amazing treating the lady with dignity. Other residents I see on a regular basis all seem very happy. I have nothing but praise for this wonderful care centre."

Great facilities with very caring and professional staff

My mum was a resident at Ashlar House in November 2023 and was welcomed in an extremely friendly way and all the staff were excellent and the care she recieving was amazing and she was very happy there, they gave her amazing nursing care too due to her dementia and continued to support her and our family throughout her time there. Unfortunately she passed away in February and the staff were so supportive and helped us with everything we had to do .
I would recommend Ashlar House care home for anyone looking to receive care for their loved ones.

An absolutely amazing care home! All of the team members are kind, caring and fantastic. The Ashlar House team care for my grandad beautifully and with dignity. Nothing is ever too much trouble or too much to ask. All of the team have always been supportive since my grandad became a resident here. The care home is a warm and welcoming atmosphere and always clean and well presented!

I visit Ashlar House regularly to provide musical entertainment . I always receive such a warm welcome from residents, their relatives and staff. I feel privileged to be invited into such a caring organisation where the staff are so attentive and professional. It will be a pleasure to join them again at the Chamber of Commerce awards this year where one can see how much Ashlar house is valued by the wider community.

"The biggest "Thank you" to Rita, Activities co-ordinator and the team at Ashlar for making our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary a very special day. Rita liaised covertly with friends and family to arrange a wonderful party for Graham and myself, with balloons,cakes ,bubbles and wonderful entertainment!!!. Off duty staff came in to help celebrate, which shows the care and attention the team give every day, not just to the residents but their families as well. It was such a suprise and the happy memories will be with me forever. Thank you to everyone at Ashlar for taking such good care of my beloved husband."
