Camellia House Care Home in Ware
Camellia House Care Home, in Ware, Hertfordshire, is centrally located near to all the area’s amenities, including relaxing river walks, shops, and the train station. You’ll find us near to Chadwell Springs Golf Club, south of the River Lea. With 48 bedrooms offering residential and nursing care, we think carefully about the type of room each resident needs.
Our bedrooms are set across two floors, and on the ground floor you’ll find a television lounge, quiet lounge and spacious conservatory, meaning peace and tranquillity is never far away. All furnishings and decor throughout the home are of an exceptionally high standard. We also have half an acre of beautiful gardens with an aviary and fish pond.
We care for the residents like our own family members, and we do it from the heart. It’s almost like a sixth sense: people who are always on hand to help, but with enough empathy to know when to leave you be; people who don’t have favourites, and who are always busy creating the little moments of kindness that make a real difference to life here.
Activities vary each week: from cake baking and cocktail evenings, to bowls club and shopping trips. And everything’s flexible – if it’s sunny we try and get outside, so everyone can appreciate the best of the day. We’ve built excellent links to the community, allowing residents to continue their lives outside the home with ease. Every month we have an organised outing for the residents which could be anything from a pub lunch to a visit to the local donkey sanctuary where we sponsor one of the donkeys. There’s a monthly entertainer who comes into the home too.
Home cooked food using fresh produce is served on a daily basis and special dietary requirements can always be catered for. Of course, when, where and who you eat with is entirely up to you – be it your room, the dining room or the conservatory. Friends and family can join you as often as you’d like (at a small charge) and our extras menu gives you the option to order snacks at any time of the day.

Our Team
The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.

Judith Boikhutso
Hello, my name is Judith, and I am the General Manager here at Camellia House. Welcome to our website.
I completed my nursing degree in 2001, and have had experience in various hospital settings since then. I relocated to the UK in 2006, and have gained quite a lot of experience in care home setting since moving.
I joined Barchester in 2015 and I have had the pleasure of working with elderly community, both as a nurse and a general manager in both residential and nursing care homes, and I look forward to more engagement within the health sector to promote quality care.
While I enjoy work, I also take pride in being a mother, therefore family time is my favourite. I am really blessed, as I have an understanding daughter who has taken pride in volunteering in care homes, following in my footsteps.
My hobbies includes, as a Christian, attending church every Sunday, helping those in need, as well as singing and dancing.
