Activities at Wood Grange Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Ruby-Mae Walker
Hello, my name is Ruby-Mae and I am the activities Co-Ordinator here at Wood Grange.
My background is working in dance education and production as well as experience in the mental health care sector. I am extremely passionate about my role here in promoting life enrichment within the home and I feel privileged to work alongside such amazing people, and to be a part of our residents lives, spending quality time with them on a regular basis. I work alongside Louise to plan and organise daily activities to suit our resident’s needs, Louise and I are very enthusiastic about our roles and the resident’s well-being is always at the forefront of our minds.
I love to dance, keep fit by going to the gym and spending time with family.

Life at Wood Grange Care Home
Chinese New Year
Residents, staff, loved ones and friends came together to celebrate Chinese New Year at Wood Grange.
Minibus Trip
Sometimes families feel that they no longer get the opportunity to be out and about with their loved ones due to mobility issues, so it’s always enjoyable for us to try and make this possible. With our driver at the wheel and minibus at hand, we escorted resident, Jeannie, to join her two daughters and their husbands to a local store for refreshments.
Spring Flowers
This lovely photo shows to residents - Shirley & Sheila - at our local garden centre enjoying the spring flowers.
A Hearty Breakfast

15 Years of Service
Katya, our nurse in charge of the Willoughby Community, who has worked here for 15 years, was delighted to receive gifts and have friends join her to celebrate this occasion.
Move it Mobility
Residents enjoyed a Move it Mobility session with Charlie, who visits us in the home monthly to help keep us active.
