Activities at White Lodge Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Here at White Lodge, we have been sewing some birds. Residents have had lots of fun!

A Kind Donation

Here is a picture of a lovely donation of treats from one off our resident's daughters. She wanted to say a huge big thank you to all the staff at White Lodge for all their hard work at this very testing time.

Fun & Karaoke

We had a fun karaoke afternoon in the cafe, which went down rather well.

This activity took place before the coronavirus lockdown.

National Storytelling Week

To celebrate National Story Telling Week, we invited some year 4 pupils from Cricklade Manor Prep school into the home. The kids wrote the start of a story before coming to the school, and sent it to us so that our residents could add to it. Upon arrival, they read the complete story, which was really fun to listen to.
