Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Nicola Blevins-Twose
Hello, my name is Nicola (Nic) and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Tixover House.
My role is to enrich the lives of our residents by providing stimulating and person-centred activities, entertainers and outings. At Tixover House we offer something for everyone, including crafts, games, virtual visits to places of interest around the world, outings in the local area and parties. We also provide one-to-one time and sensory activities with residents who need more support. Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends meeting we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Tixover House.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones. 'Living life to the full' is my motto, and whatever your ability there is always something new to learn or try.

Life at Tixover House Care Home
Ark Nursery
Residents enjoyed a day visit to the local Ark Nursery School in Stamford. It was lovely watching the 2 generations interact.
Celebrating 15 Years
Congratulations to Joe, who has been an RGN at Tixover for 15 years and really enjoys her role in the home.
Feeling Floral
With spring right round the corner, we have daffodils as centrepieces for the tables in the dining room, thanks to the lovely Hazel.
Burns Night
The chef brought in the haggis to a round of applause from all the residents and was piped in to Scottish music. John stood up and gave a toast of thanks to the haggis and read a poem from Robert Burns. It was a lovely meal!
Birthday Fun
Jane had a blast celebrating her birthday with friends and her Tixover family.
Nursery Visit
Residents visited Arc Nursery School in Stamford this week and joined in with all the nursery's games and singalongs. All the residents really enjoyed the day and are very much looking forward to going back very soon.
