In the heart of Rutland, our home is easily accessible from Oakham, Stamford, Oundle, Corby and surrounding villages.

We provide 24-hour nursing and residential care, both for short and long stays, in addition to dementia support. Surrounded by 14 acres of beautiful countryside Tixover House is an integral part of the rural community with strong links to surrounding villages. We have well maintained gardens and breathtaking views -  a favourite spot to enjoy afternoon tea and a relaxing conversation is the little summer house which looks out across the fields.

Our residents are cared for by friendly, experienced and well-trained nurses and care staff who encourage and support residents to maintain their own interests and hobbies. Our team focus on the individual. Our full time activities co-ordinator, Elaine, is committed to ensuring that all of our residents continue to have as full and active lifestyle as possible, facilitating varied and stimulating ways to enjoy the days (and evenings), from gardening to music, outings to places of interest or just a cup of tea and a chat - there's something for everyone.

We have a strong sense of community within our home, with strong relationships between residents, relatives and staff. We think you'll find we're ideally suited to meet your needs whether now or in the future.

We warmly welcome visitors, so if you would like to arrange to look round our home, or find out more about Tixover House, please contact our manager or one of our great team members who will be delighted to take your call.

Wendy Kaya

General Manager

Hi, my name is Wendy and I am the General Manager here at Tixover House. Welcome to our website!

I started with Barchester at Chater Lodge in 2006 as a Carer and worked my way up to Senior Team Leader. In 2011, the position of General Manager became available and, with so much support and encouragement from my team, I applied for the position and, after 3 interviews, I was offered the position.

In March 2017, I was promoted to Senior General Manager and was asked to take over Tixover House for 18 months until they found a replacement manager – however, I came here and loved it!

I love the challenge of working here and I have a great team behind me. I welcome you to pop in for a coffee; my door is always open and I will always make time for anyone wanting to visit.
