Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Saxophonist Performs Outdoors

It was all smiles at Tennyson Wharf as our local Saxophonist was still able to perform and entertain our residents. Observing social distancing measures, residents enjoyed being outside in the sunshine, whilst the entertainment took place on the banks of the Marina with stunning views.

Happy Board

Tennyson Wharf produced a wonderful 'Happy Board' which is displayed in reception. It not only reflects past joyful moments, but it works as a reminder of what we love and how we can share happiness with the world around us.

Employee Of The Month

Our head of maintenance 'Antonio Rodrigues' was awarded March's employee of the month. He thoroughly deserved this award as a big thank you for coming into work early and stay late during demanding times. Furthermore, he has helped with duties outside his remit such as supportiing care staff by picking up prescriptions and delivering requests to GP surgeries.

Morning Sunshine

Despite the hardship of being unable to see their loved ones, our residents are sitting outside on the terrace this morning in the lovely sunshine.  They are enjoying the view, each other’s company and a cup of tea with cake!

Easter Crafts

Easter crafts by residents at Tennyson for our “Things that make us smile” board included making teddy bear cards to send to children for their return to school.
