Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.

Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
V&A Dundee - Night fever
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Stamford Bridge Beaumont were treated to a talk about nightclub culture by V&A Dundee Curator, Kirsty Hassard. The presentation forms part of a series of six talks and virtual tours that V&A Dundee is hosting for Barchester Healthcare’s care homes and private hospitals across the UK.
V&A Dundee is Scotland’s design museum, it showcases Scotland’s outstanding design achievements and features world-class exhibitions alongside the permanent Scottish Design Galleries, and a changing programme of commissions, events and activities.
Kirsty’s talk looked at the history and design of night clubs, and examined club culture from the 1960s to the present day. She explored their evolution and development around the world, from Italy to America, and closer to home, looking at their importance as cultural venues and designed spaces.
Waggy tails at Stamford Bridge
Residents of Stamford Bridge do like their treats! During the recent glorious sunny weather we arranged for a local ice-cream van to visit the home so residents could enjoy refreshing ice-creams and lollies. Once their choice was selected, everyone sat on the homes front lawn to savour the taste, with conversations soon turning to childhood memories of walks along the promenade on seaside trips and their favourite holiday destinations. It was a fab way to spent the afternoon!
