Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.
Wendy Allan
Wendy joined the Family in 2005, and is one of our long standing employees in the home.
Wendy has worked across several departments including Housekeeping and as a Carer, but decided to join the Activities team in 2015. Wendy thrives off making others happy. She loves supporting the residents and Families and putting on fun filled activities them all to enjoy.
In her spare time, Wendy loves being outdoors and walking, and spending time with her Grandchildren

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
Musical moments
Musical moments visit the home regularly and Residents enjoy their regular musical sessions and Maggie, a resident is always full of energy and encourages her friends to get involved with the props available. Residents are soon singing and dancing along to the music.
Autumnal flowers
We have been very busy getting the home set for autumn with some wonderful crafts and we recently added these beautiful autumn flowers to the communal areas, residents also created their own displays to put in their rooms. Flower arranging is a popular activity within the homes life enrichment programme.
Blooming Haus
We were delighted to join Blooming Haus’s Christmas Wreath Making Masterclass, where Master Florist, Michal and his business partner - Michael showed us the best method to create beautiful festive wreaths.
Following the tips and ideas learnt during the amazing virtual experience, we were happy to put our skills to a test and to enter the #BarchesterChristmasWreaths competition.
We all had a wonderful time creating our festive wreath/s.

Remembrance Sunday
Stamford Bridge Beaumont in Stamford Bridge commemorated Remembrance Day on Sunday 14th November, where they joined the rest of the United Kingdom in holding a two-minute silence at 11am.
As well as marking Remembrance Day by wearing knitted poppies made by our residents, and watching the televised service, residents were involved in making a cenotaph to display within the home to commemorate the members of the armed forces who died in the line of duty.
A resident at Stamford Bridge Beaumont said: It is very important that we keep the memories of those who fought alive and that we also think about those involved in conflicts around the world today, this was reflected in the service we received from the local Church on Thursday 11th of November.
English National Ballet
We celebrated Remembrance Day with English National Ballet Associate Dance Artist, Richard Bermange, who led a creative dance workshop for our residents followed by a special extract of Akram Khan’s work Dust, premiered in 2014 as part of ENB’s Lest We Forget programme, commemorating the First World War.
ENB company dancers, Erina Takahashi and James Streeter performed the extract and provided some insight into this moving work.
Our residents had a wonderful time as they listened, danced and were able to singalong to famous war time music performed by ENB Associate Musician, Matt Hartley-Stevens.
Shopping trip
With Christmas around the corner our residents took a trip to our local craft shop to get supplies for all out Christmas crafting that is planned. The home has many activities planned throughout the coming weeks as everyone counts down to Christmas.
