Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.

Love is in the air at Stamford Bridge

We’ve been spreading the love all around our home to celebrate Valentines Day!

Residents enjoyed a valentines tea party with home made cakes, biscuits, strawberries and chocolate from our fountain, music fun and games.

It was a lovely day and it was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get involved with the days festivities.

Flower Arranging at Stamford Bridge

Residents enjoyed a flower arranging session this week in the Terrace.

Research has proven that there are many benefits of flower arranging. As well as enabling residents to be creative and use their imagination, it encourages use of the fingers and hands and is a great stress reliever, promoting a calm atmosphere.

Our home looks beautiful with their colourful creations!

Knitting Club at Stamford Bridge Beaumount

This blanket has been ongoing for a while now. With covid and Christmas plans it has taken us a little longer than others but today the final touches were added and it was worth the wait! This blanket will remain very special to us as so many residents have contributed to it.

Well done ladies, what a fantastic achievement!

Happy Birthday to Rachel!

We would like to wish a Happy birthday to our Deputy Manager Rachel Longley who celebrated her 50th birthday this week.

We hope you had a wonderful day!

A trip out for coffee and cake!

What a fantastic first trip out into our local community.

Our ladies enjoyed a walk in the sunshine to a local coffee shop and the coffee and cake went down a treat!

Virtual cookery demonstration

We had a lovely time joining Chef Alex Connell from Vegetarian for Life for a Valentine’s-inspired virtual cookery demonstration.  Chef Alex created some delicious Valentine’s Day-inspired vegetarian desserts, which our residents had the opportunity to try too.

First, our residents sampled a wonderful sticky toffee pudding, which was absolutely heavenly. Then they tried hazelnut truffles which were a huge hit and finally they were treated to a chocolate orange cake which everyone adored.
