Activities at South Grange Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at South Grange Care Home

Sunflower planting

Residents at South Grange spent a lovely afternoon in our new gazebo for the garden club. Within the afternoon everyone had planted their own sunflower seeds ready to grow for our sunflower competition this year. One of our residents Lorraine is helping to organise our garden club for this year, she has always been a keen gardener and is happy to give tips to anyone.

Cycling Without Age Scotland

South Grange received a visit from our local charity Cycling without Age Scotland, Monifieth. The lovely afternoon entailed of 3 volunteers who brought along two trishaws for a staff member and a resident to be chaperoned around the local streets to see what our feedback and thoughts were. Both of our residents expressed how much they enjoyed the afternoon and said the volunteers were very helpful.

We look forward to welcoming the volunteers and trishaws back to put more smiles on our residents faces.

Easter Painting

Residents and staff at South Grange  prepared for Easter by painting their own unique designs on a hardboiled egg. They also had a busy morning doing some Easter baking where they used their skills and coordination to make rice crispy chocolate nests. Everyone agreed they were delicious! The residents celebrated Easter by having a competition of how many bunnies can you find around the home. We had prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

Mens Club
