Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Snowdrop Place Care Home
Christmas Tree Festival
On the first weekend of December, we invited some of our residents from our Memory Lane community to take part in the annual Christmas Tree Festival at the local St James Church, West End. The task of decoration placement was dealt with beautifully by Ann and Hilary, along with our activities team. The trees are then on display for all the local community to enjoy, before we bring our tree back for pride of place at Snowdrop Place throughout the rest of December. An absolutely delightful afternoon.
Snowdrop Places Launches Live with Connex
We're excited to announce the successful launch of our home to our new Connex Live!
Here at Barchester we have introduced a new system to our daily working and Snowdrop Place have gone live! We are so looking forward to using the systems in home and ensuring a smooth transition for our teams and residents on their journey of moving in too.
Christmas Fayre and Light Switch On
We were delighted to host our annual Christmas Fayre and Light Switch On this year to kick start the festive season, and welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Eastleigh to launch Snowdrop Place's celebrations. A great selection of stalls too including handmade gifts, freshly baked brownies and cakes along with the traditional tombola, raffle and opportunity for all to meet Father Christmas.
A huge thank you to all involved, we had caterers, Berrywood School choir along with SO Sound choir too. A really fantastic evening enjoyed by residents, families and the local wider community.
