Activities at Snowdrop Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Burn's Night Celebrations

Our Burn's Night celebrations and supper were a great success! The meal of traditional Haggis, neeps and tatties was enjoyed by our residents and entertainment from the wonderful David Pepper. Our activities co-ordinator Gemma created a wonderful time for all, and our resident couple made great efforts with their traditional outfits. We're really all about celebrating life at Snowdrop Place, and each opportunity to do that enriches our residents lives. If you'd like to find out what we may be able to offer for your loved one then feel free to get in touch.

Meet Milo - our newest volunteer

We're delighted to welcome a new regular visitor to Snowdrop Place as 2025 begins. Milo the Pet Therapy dog has made plans to come and meet the residents and staff each week, for company and cuddles. The residents can either see Milo in our beautiful lounge areas, in the gardens or he is happy to pop in and see residents individually with owner.

Snowdrop Place staff incentive winner

🌟Congratulations to Esther 🌟
We launched a new team incentive throughout December for all of our wonderful care team at Snowdrop Place, and the lucky winner is Esther. All our carers offer expertise when it comes to enriching the lives of our residents, and making our home as supportive as possible.

Who will win next month?

Employee of the Month October

Congratulations, lets celebrate our Employee of the Month for October at Snowdrop Place presented by our residents Beryl and Betty.

Our Chef Daniel recently started at our home and is part of the team that create, prepare and serve our residents each day. Compliments on the menu, and generally being part of the Whole Home Approach we pride ourselves on, were comments mentioned in his nominations from staff, residents and their families.

Did you know that all of our hospitality is freshly prepared within the home? We take into consideration our residents preferences, allergies, general likes and dislikes along with their favourites! A huge Well Done again

Welcome Berry Wood School

A huge Thank you to Berry Wood school children who took time out of their morning to come and share the making of Christmas cards with our residents. As you can see Joan and Phyllis thoroughly enjoyed the craft and chatting to the girls about festive plans. We welcome any opportunity for inter generational events and especially when we can invite the local community, are really important to us at Snowdrop Place. We really enjoy the chance to invite others in whenever we can.
